I have posted this before on another forum with no luck - am hoping I might be more successful here!
Frederick James Head b. abt. 1834 Eastbourne, Sussex
marries Sarah Woolley in 1855 Lynsted, Kent
They appear together on only one census 1861.
Mistranscribed surname James
Source Citation: Class RG9, Piece 567, Folio 51, Page 1
I cannot find Frederick on any census after this.
They had the following children
Frederick b. abt. 1853 Middx.
Fanny Harriet b.1856 Kent
Cornelius b. 1857 Kent d. 1861 Eastbourne, Sussex
Louisa Rebecca b.1860 Kent
George Edward b.1863 Eastbourne
Ernest Edmund b.1865 Eastbourne
Wallace b.abt. 1867 Eastbourne
Frank Rupert b.1869 Eastbourne
On the 1871 census Sarah is with children in Eastbourne.
In 1879 Sarah is 'in service' in Nottinghill, London!
1881 Sarah with sister in Hastings
I can account for all the children after 1881 except George, Ernest, Wallace and Frank.
To sum up Frederick James goes missing after the 1861 census, Frank was born 22.6.1869 so he must have been around until 1868! The four boys go missing after the 1871 census.
I'd be so grateful if anyone can help me find them.
