Two more for restoration please

Could someone please improve these two photos? One dates from 1953 and is of my sister and I with our Dad. The second is from 1955 and features my sister and I in some rather daring swimsuits!
Joy.

I've had a go. Have cropped off that hording at the top of the first photo. Are these any better?
I expect the others can do a lot better!
Wendy

Thanks Wendy. It certainly looks better without the hoarding. Is there any chance of making them a bit sharper though? Joy

I've tried to sharpen them a bit. Hope you think it's better. Still learning at the moment though.
