  • Children in Catholic home in Orpington Kent

    Hi,

I wonder if anyone has any suggestions. I know Catholic Homes are hard to get info from. It seems to me there is no longer an organization called the Catholic Childrens Society and have been advised to try the Cabrini Society for info. I have E Mailed them twice and had no resonse. What to do now?

The children were my Mother in Laws Father and his brothers who were placed in the Orphanage after their Mother died around 1916. They had their Father but he was serving in WW1, and after it seems left them there unable to cope.

    Thanks

just looked on the cabrini site and it says you have to write to apply for the records. It tells you that upon receiving your letter they will confirm whether there is a record and if so arrange an appointment.
So they may not reply to emails regarding records. I would give a letter a go.
