  • 1881 Scottish census images

    Hi,
Not sure if this has been posted yet.
The 1881 census in Scotland on Scotlands people has only ever had a transcription (1 credit for index and 1 credit for transcription).
You can now get the images for 1 credit index and 5 credits image.
I have not tried it yet but may be useful if the transcription has errors.

Thanks for that, Herky. I think I have one or two that will be worth checking against the image.

Couldn't resist a wee look at one I had as a transcription before.
The transcription only gave an individual household. The beauty of the original is it is a whole page. Now I can see 2 families and how close they are living as they show up on the same page just 2 doors apart.
