When you are searching for something that has been mistranscribed you need to use the minimum of information.

For the 1891 census all I put in was
First name: Bern* (the use of asterisk as a wild card means it will pick up any name that starts with Bern)
            Year of birth: 1886 +/- 2 years
            Place of birth: Marylebone

            NOTHING ELSE!!

That gave me seven choices and I could see the Beng mistranscription easily. Obviously it helped that we had an unusual name such as Bernadina to use - it´s not always as easy as that.

Can´t remember what I did for the other one - must admit that was harder to find as the names are more common!
I think I used William born 1843 +/- 2 years, born Hoxton - and then just had to search through the results.

Bernadine Prescott Parker King married Sidney Henry Abbs which is the line I am following, so hopefully a bit eisier with their names.
              Thank you again
