NZ BMD records - still problems

Unfortunately they are having a few teething problems. If you haven't found someone you expected - try again

I did a check with a family I know born 1895 - 1905. Only 2 of 5 were listed.
I emailed the site and have just had a reply. They have had a few reports of similar problems and have done a re-index of the database. I now get 4 out of 5. Still room for improvement !!

There is no wild card search or soundex so check for alternate spellings. There do seem to be some missing entries in my OH's familyas well.

I asked about wildcard searching and the reply was

"We have not considered a wild card search facility yet."

Thanks for the tip Cliff, I'll have another look....I wondered why there were a few gaps.
