  • An Abstract of administration

I found one of these for Robert Ash of Hoxton on the NA site. Dated Feb 1811, it just tells me that his sister Rebecca Blumson (my direct ancestor) was the administratrix and that he left 200 quid.

This must mean that he left a will I assume - it doesn't appear to be on the documents online so does that mean it doesn't survive?

I'm pretty sure it means he didn't leave a will. Letters of administration are taken out for those who had something to leave but died intestate
