  • Where is Amy Jennings?

I have a birth certificate for Amy Jennings born 21/9/1880 at 1 Pembles Cottages, Chatham, Kent. Parents were William Jennnings and Clara Lewis.

Can anyone find Amy on the 1881 or 1891 census?

I cannot find a death so she must be somewhere.

Also can anyone find a marriage for William Jennings and Clara Lewis?
    Wendy

What birth details do you have for Clara and William? I'm not finding any Jennings people in Kent in 1881 at the moment

I have no details for the parents at all except William was a shipwright.

Is that from Amy's marriage cert? When/where did she marry?

There's an unmarried Clara Jennings living at that address in 1881

I have just found a Clara Jennings c1849 Chatham, Kent unmarried living at 1 Pembles Cottages, Chatham, Kent in 1881 and also in 1871 with her parents.

Do you think there is something odd here?

Did you notice that Clara's father William's occupation was shipwright.

Another strange thing too. I have been looking for an Arabella Ethel Brown born 1884 Deptford, Kent. Can't find one, but I have just found an Arabella Ethel Jennings!

Strange that you mention the Brown surname because I was originally looking at this entry in the 1891

Oh Elaine I think you may have found them. Thank you.

On Arabella Ethel Brown's marriage certificate her father is William Brown deceased a draughtsman.

I think there are several little fibs been told here.

On the 1861 Clara Jennings has a sister Arabella! There is also a Arabella Baker widow living in the same house as Clara in 1891.
