Do you have a year of birth ?
There's a James Thomas born in Wales ... 1818 ... in Liverpool, Lancs.

He's alone ... hmmm think it says he's a servant

There are quite a few snippets on Google book search:

One of his daughters married Frank Harris, friend and biographer of Oscar Wilde:

Oxford Dictionary of National Biography: In Association with the British ...
by Henry Colin Gray Matthew, Brian Howard Harrison, British Academy - Great Britain - 2004
                              Page 440

Harris, James Thomas [Frank] (18567-1931), journalist and rogue, was probably born on 14 February 1856, in a thatched cabin at Galway, third son and fourth of the five children of Thomas Vernon Harris (1814-1899), a mariner, and his wife, Anne (1816-1859/60), daughter of James Hughes Thomas, a Baptist missionary. ...

Sorry, you're quite right, I read it wrong. Frank was the son of Thomas Vernon Harris and his wife Anne, who was the daughter of James Hughes Thomas.
