  • What would you say the signature says

    I know what I think it says but wondered if anybody agreed with me ??? as to the mans name in the Status line at the bottom ,so not going to say as I want unbiased opinions please

          The word looks like Stranger to me.

                I don't think it means a stranger paid for the burial, I think it means the status under which Abraham was buried was as a "stranger" but I don't know what the synagogue's definition of that would be exactly.

                      I think the Jewish definition of 'stranger' in the synagogue means he was a 'stranger' in the country he was being buried in.
