  • It's a rich man's world

    .... or is it?

The main theme for the May edition of the magazine is to be "Money, Money, Money".

Do you have a story to tell about bankers, accountants, bankrupts, pawnbrokers, philanthropists, self-made millionaires, embezzlers, excise officers, smugglers or even pirates?

Did your family go from rags to riches or vice versa?

Have you found out what happened to those missing fortunes?

If you have none of these, maybe you have another story on any subject which you might like to offer for this edition or in the future. We are very keen to hear about how you broke down your brickwalls or perhaps you just have a very interesting 6th cousin once removed sitting on a twig of your tree.

If you want to add your ideas here, that will be good, or you can pm me.

The deadline for receiving articles for May, publishing on Wednesday 6th, will be as soon as possible .... or April 1st at the latest.

I have had some replies, but it would be nice to have some more offers of articles for the May edition please!!

If you don't have any stories to roughly fit the financial theme, now is your chance to send us those articles which you have in your heads that haven't fitted in the themes so far. Who knows, like Jill you may end up being published in a book!!

We can see from the stats for the magazine that the articles are being picked up by search engines, so you may even make an important contact that way.

Now that April has been published, I am starting to put May's edition together.

Does anyone have any more stories to offer?

Maybe you have made some interesting discoveries from the 1911 census since other counties have come online or broken down some brickwalls lately.
