  • Windows Security and AVG

I have Windows Vista and AVG as part of my security package.

When I go into Control Panel and look under 'Security' and 'Malware' it states that my AVG Anti Virus reports that it is turned off.

However, if I check on AVG itself, all parts of it are working...........

Why do I have conflicting messages

Am I ok to leave well alone, as I'm nervous of doing summat daft if I 'fiddle'.

    Dont worry Oscar
I use Mcafee Antivirus and Firewall, but Windows tells me that there is no anti-virus running.

Just one of those things that Microsoft do not get right in their systems before they sell them

Thanks for that Trevor - I was just concerned that I had a 'loophole' somewhere and was being invaded by hordes of viruses (lol).
