Can anyone help with information on the Robinson or Wilkinson families. My Great Grandmother was called Eva Wilkinson, born in St Hellier Jersey in 1892. Her mother was called Alice Robinson c1873 and her father was Walter Wilkinson 1868, both from St Hellier. Her father was a seaman with Trinity House. They moved to the Isle of wight when Eva was very young. Any information on either family would be a great help.

Hi Cazzy
welcome to FTF.
Presumably you are trying to work backwards from your grt grandmother? I'm no expert on the Jersey sources, i know it isn't as simple as looking at the bmd index from what little history i have within the Channel Islands but we have a few useful links in our reference section that you might find useful;

I'm assuming some of your information is possibly based on the census as you have a rough yob for Alice Robinson.http://www.flickr.com/photos/50125734@N06/
