    hi,

    apart from printing and scanning them back into pc is there anyway of adding the 1911 census records to ancestry and FTM?

    You can export the transcripts from the 1911 site in a variety of formats if you look on the My Records tab. It allows you to bring them into your PC without printing and scanning. You could then attach these as images in FTM. If that's what you mean. I have been using a small programme (free on the web) that creates pdf files for each transcript and then filing them as I did for the other census images.
    You could also use a screen grab programme, many available free on the web.

      thats great thank you. i have only found 2 records so far that are definately mine and i have got the transcripts (they will do for now until i can afford more cerdits to get original image). will go back and look at how to do it.

        Do be careful - FMP state very clearly on their website that you must not post images of the 1911 onto other websites.

        FMP have the copyright, you have only bought the information for your own personal use.
