  • anybody know museums in Swansea?

Some of my ancestors sailed from Germany to New Zealand aboard the Lammershagen which later bacame shipwrecked near Swansea in 1882. I am wondering if any museums in that area would have anything about the ship.

There is the National Waterfront Museum, in Swansea. I don't know how extensive their historical information is, but they may be able to point you in the right direction.

The Welsh Industrial and Maritime Museum, which was in Cardiff, was closed when Cardiff Bay was redeveloped, and it was moved to Swansea to form the basis of the Waterfront Museum.
