When did John die?

John Thomas Griffiths married Grace Bennett in 1889 at Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire.

They were on 1891, although his name was Thomas. RG12/2172/21/35

On the 1901 Grace is staying at/visiting her mothers and she is still married. No sign of John. RG13/2605/123/16

I have just got the 1911 census and Grace is a 44 yo widow. It also shows she had 1 child but that the child had died.

On the 1891 it says John was born 1860 in Stoke on Trent Staffs.

I had been hoping to narrow does the possibilites for the child by working out John's death. Can anyone help as I can't find a death that fits agewise?

was she still in S-O-T in 1911?

No she was in Tamworth Staffs.

She owned a shop in 1911. Prior to that she had been a pottery painter.

There are a couple of possible deaths in Jan-Mar 1907 but they are in Lancashire.

Thanks Kate. Lancashire is a possibliity. I'll have another look. I couldn't find anything that seemed to fit.
