When will 1858 and later wills be downloadable?

I understand that there are plans for a service similar to that provided by TNA for downloading scans of court copies of pre-1858 PCC wills. Does anyone know when this service is likely to begin?

About 5 or more years ago there were plans to digitise the post 1858 indexes, but I've never seen any more on this subject since then. I've not seen anything about digitizing the actual wills.

I believe that the wills are already digitised but only accessible by the probate staff at the moment. (Didn't someone say that when they went to the probate office, they found out that the staff could download a will to their computer and print it out at the desk?) But as for whether they are planning to open it up to the public, I don't know.
