  • Residence at time of marriage?

When my Gt Grandparents married in 1912 they are both listed as living at 90 St Saviours Rd which is in the Parish of Saltley, B'ham.

My Gt grandfather had been lodging with the family in 1911 on Washwood Heath Road, also in Saltley, which in 1901 is said to be in the Parish of St Saviours.

My question is why would they have said they lived at 90 St Saviours Rd when I honestly don't think they ever lived there. After they married they moved to Alum Rock Rd, round the corner, and the parents carried on living on Washwood Heath Rd.

So where does 90 St aviours Rd come in to it? Now I know people like to marry in pretty churches now and my mum says st saviours is a lovely church but would they have worried about that then?! And in any case I think they lived in the parish anyway!
