Only if you find the family in the census and can trace them back and find the marriage.

Can you give some details of what you know, or is the person still alive?

What years are we talking about here Rob?
If it is after 1911 and you know the names of any children, then you could look them up in the BMDs and find MMN that way - then work your way back to the parent´s marriage to confirm the names.

If the name isn't too common, you could try searching for the marriage on FreeBMD:

        FreeBMD - Search

Put the woman's married surname in the surname box and her Christian name in the spouse's Christian name box. Then select the county and date range you're interested in.

There are a few ways you could go about it via census, bmd index, births of children etc, a lot depends on the timeframe and without knowing that it is difficult to suggest the best way forwards.

Ancestry has transcribed deaths 1984-2005 which gives birthdates, but if you don't know the exact birthdate and the first name and married name is quite common you may not be able to identify the correct death - and it won't give the maiden name.

Marriage records and children's birth certs are the best sources - but as everyone else has said when this woman lived is important in advising on where to look.

Where she lived may also help, if you are working with small villages, rather than large towns or cities.
e.g Jemima (maiden name unknown) born Buttercrambe greatly reduces the odds when looking for her possible origins and also when trying to trace forward a likely candidate.
