Hi
I'm helping someone do their tree and also seeing if there's a connection to my tree at the same time (we both have Sussex Packhams).
On the IGI, Thomas Packham married Lucy Addison in 1814 in Ringmer and Brighton, Sussex. He later married Mary Fryer in Brighton in 1848. On the latter record it says the father's name is Richard. There is a birth for a Thomas Peckham in Ringmer in 1788 with parents Richard and Elizabeth.
Now this is fair enough and I would probably came them with a little bit of hesitation, however, there are several people on the Ancestry family trees section with the same Thomas (same marriages/kids) but they have the parents as George and Jenny. They have then possibly used theweald.org to map George's ancesters back. Now I've contacted a couple of these people but I've not had a reply yet.
I cant find any evidence of George and Jenny personally. So am I right or are they?
Can anyone prove either way?
Cheers
James
