  • Can anyone find the Nelsons in 1911 please?

I am struggling to find my hubby's grandfather & his family in 1911, can anyone else locate them please?
They are George Hillis (Ellis) Nelson born Sept 1876 Widnes, wife Mary Annie born c1878 Birkenhead, daughter Mary born Aug 1906 Chester & son George Alfred born May 1908 Chester. George senior was in the Cheshire regiment & was based in the UK at the time. There is no sign that the family lived anywhere other than Cheshire. I've tried all the combinations that I can think of & have also looked to see if they were with George's brother or sister, but have found no sign of them.
    Can anyone help please?

Lynn - sorry. I can't find them either. I tried under surname Hillis/Ellis too.

Do you know that they were all still alive in 1911?

Yes they were all still alive in 1911, Mary Annie died in 1925 & her husband not until the 1950's. they were in macclesfield when he went into the 1st WW

It appears that you can't find out who is at that address without credits & I can't afford to get any at teh moment. I am just trying to find them so I can get the image when I have some credits :(

Thanks for that Gillian. Unfortunately it hasn't helped & it looks like they are just missing.
