Big HELP needed PC Disc missing

well I spent a happy time yesterday deleting stuff and tidying up my PC in preparation for using my new one but today when I turned it on have a black screen with white writing saying
USB Storage device USB 2.0 MFP
Pri.Master Disk HDD S.M.A.R.T capability Disabled
Non system disk or disk error
Replace and strike any key when ready

HELP


I cant find the disc ?????:o:o

Did you have a memory stick plugged into the computer when you started it up, Val? If so then maybe it needs taking out?

Oh, or an external disk drive plugged into a USB port? In which case take out any disk that is in that drive.

or a memory card (from camera etc. ) in a card reader ??

oh thank goodness yes I did have a disc in the thingy have ejected it but nothing has happened what do I do now please

I know how it feels Val... the first time i did it was 20 minutes prior to a presentation I was doing at work... the initial panic was biblical, quickly followed by immense relief when i realised what i had done....

I had these horrible thoughts running through my head ,as I still have lots of stuff I am going to back up today hopefully.
Dont know how you must have felt ??? What a horrid experience.

It ended up with a fit of the giggles Val, probably due to the relief, seems funny to look back at now, but didnt feel funny at the time...

I cant say I giggled what a shock .I have so much stuff still on their to move .
