  • Help reading occupation

At last I've found great granny in 1891, surname mis-spelled as Burniss when it should be Burnip.

Could someone help me out with her employers occupation please?

I think the second word is definitely New, looking at Needlewoman further down the page.

Could the third word be Communion?

Definitely. Methodist New Connexion was one of many strands of Methodism which came together in the first half of the 20th. century.

Thankyou everybody, its obvious now! The whole family became very keen Methodists, (we still have a lay preacher & minister in the family) so that may have been the origin as her parent were C of E.
