Another Laptop problem

Have a brand new Hewlett Packard Laptop running Vista , every now and then ,usually when I try to open a new Window it either freezes on a blank page and I have to go to the Task Manager to close it or I get a box come up saying Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close then another box comes up and it says checking for solution to the problem but it never does and I end up having to cancel that ,and again going to Task Manager to stop the page running????
It is running the latest IE .
Any ideas thanks ??

Have you got Magentic on your laptop??

If so, you need to get rid of it - I had a similar problem although usually at start up.
