I still haven't given up on my mysterious Walker family.
After appearing fully formed on the 1871 census in Leeds, the head of the house, Thomas Walker, consistently gives his age as 42, 52, 62 and 72, born Hull, through the censuses from 1871 to 1901.
He's still going in 1911, only now he's 83 and he gives his place of birth, very accurately, as Waterhouse Lane, Hull.
Does anyone know what part of Hull this would come under - I've just found a website with Hull & Sculcoates PRs and may need to take the plunge.
Thanks
