  • 1901 census decoder

Many of used the old decoder where you could identify members of a family by an identifying number contained in the census. This was a great help where there was a common surname and you had to identify your family from dozens of names.

Does anyone know if there is a similar way you can identify all the family members on the 1911 census?

    Hope the above makes sense

You can specify the names of other people in the same household on the search form, so it should be possible to work out who is in which family that way. Do you want to give us the details of the family you're looking for, and maybe we can help you narrow it down?

My son wrote one for the 1901 census, but he says that it is not possible to do one for the 1911 census.

        Thanks Kite/Wendy

I'll take another look at the site and see if I can work it out. I'll get back to you if I get stuck :-)

        Thanks again
