  • To the US and back again

I was given information for my Ggrandfather's trip to the US and am now trying to find records to back it up.

His name is Percy Charles Darlison, born 1875 and he left Southampton on April 26/1902 headed for New York on the ship 'Philidelphia'. I know he was back in England by March 17, 1904 as that is when he married.

A quick look at Ancestry doesn't show any names I can see that would be misspelt, but since I don't have a subscription, I can't view any images to verify.

Would this be the only place where these types of records are held?

Ships' passengers' lists are at The National Archives in Kew, but they are searchable on a sub or payperview basis on www.findmypast.com

Thanks Mary and Nell. Wonder why I didn't pick up on that variation?
