Some of you probably know from recent threads i have foregone Ancestry recently, you also probably know how involved i am with the Scotland pow project.
I couldn't justify Ancestry again because my research took a back seat to the pow project and finances are another factor too, now everything on the pow is up to date and just waiting for more images to arrive i have the time to research again.
I started looking at a few lines that have been neglected for too long, combining the latest updates from freereg and answers to a few queries for census help here on the research board i have added quite a bit of useful info to my tree this week, not everything is 100% guaranteed but the names and dates all seem to tally up and when late enough events are concerned they continue into the census years and relationships appear to match the earlier records too.
I'm pretty certain i have jumped back two generations at least on one direct line and with a bit of luck could soon find a few more leads to add to that line, and some good groundwork on another line has given me a potential breakthrough in another area.
So thanks to all those who have contributed to the requests this week, either with a look up or adding a name/date etc to steer me along somewhere.
Lincolnshire and London specialists beware, your help will be needed soon!!
