  • The Times Digital Archive look-up please

I'm no longer able to get free access to this - a member very kindly provided me with a link and password recently, but this no longer works. My local library has it on their website, but it won't work for me and their technical guy is still looking into it... :o

Anyway, in the meantime can someone look up a James Merrett, who was a cab driver in London please. When I could get free access, I found a report in The Times naming him as a witness in a court case. At the time I wasn't sure if he was 'my man' so rather stupidly didn't save it, believing that I could get access at a later date when I had confirmed this.... hmmm... :o

    Thanks for your help!

    The Times, Monday, Mar 28, 1898; pg. 5; Issue 35475; col C

James Albert Merrett, cabman of 64 Richmond Street Marylebone. He pursued a purse-snatcher who was then apprehended by a constable.

        I'll have a go!

You have mail, of a negative variety. I can't send attachments to aol addresses, so I'll try to think of something else.
