There is a tab on ancestry for "Stories & Publications", and one of the sections in there is called "Stories, Memories & Histories". I thought it was only for family stories submitted by members, but having idly done a search for one of my family names, I see there is all kinds of stuff in there, definitely worth a rummage from time to time. For instance, some of the PCC Administrations (Admon) Indexes, Calendar of Wills for Bristol, "Abstracts of Gloucestershire inquisitiones post mortem returned into the Court of Chancery in the reign of King Charles the First", Burke's Landed Gentry... and there are some parish register transcripts in there too; no idea why they decided to put them in there rather than the "parish and probate" section!
