    Hello everyone

    Can somebody please do me a favour and check where a possible rellie of mine was born from the 1851 census?

    He is mistranscribed as the following -

    William Pate 40
    Ann Pate 44
    Henery Pote 12
    Charles A Pote 7

    Im afraid i dont know the folio details.

      Im not sure where the parents and Henry were born, i know where Charles and the rest of the kids come from (rest not on here) There should have benn a Rosa on there but unsure where she got off to.

        OK, got them now. Ancestry made a right hash of them and had them inside another family!

        William Pote Head M 44 Jeweller, watch and clock maker, master, born Bristol
        Ann Pote wife 44 born Wolverhampton Staffs
        Henery Pote 12, Dalston Middlesex, son, scholar
        Charles A Pote, 7 ditto (Ancestry has him as a servant, poor lad!)

        Can't see a Rose/a.
