I have a new question, How far is OLDHAM say from BOLTON,I decided to try my grandfathers middle name on free BMD..............james SLATER chadderton, for the years 1920 to 1930, first entry was james slater age 30,for the year 1920 ! seems close considering he was registered in 1891

Researching.......CHADDERTON , GILLETT, WHALLEY, RILEY, SUDWORTH ,COTTAM, DAWSON,HACKER....ALL FROM LANCASHIRE
