Overseas e-mails..........

I seem to have started 2009 with a mega-blip! I correspond regurlarly with friends in South Africa and they've become worried that they haven't heard from me. However, I receive their mail, no problem.

I use 'live.com' and have started to recieve 'failure' notices or 'delay' notices for mail I send overseas, often days after I've sent it, so haven't been aware of any glitch.

I tested it out again with one of my UK friends and it seems ok here. Any idea of what could be wrong?

It might be possible that their service provider is blocking any emails sent by your particular service provider. We had a similar thing happen with emails to Canada when shaw.ca blocked our Spanish ISP.
We got round it by getting a gmail account (free) and sending emails to them via that.

If you want to do a test I'll give you my email address and you can then see if it is overseas problem or a South African problem.
