  • I can't find them.... assistance please..

    hiya

I have a family in 1891 - Edwin Cane born 1849 in Yorkshire, but the family move to Birmingham and this is where they seem to stay.

    - Ancestry.co.uk

    Class: RG12; Piece: 2375; Folio 134; Page 36

the family goes onto the next page with an unreadable 'to me' name, looks like 'viney' but not sure at all.

It is Caroline I am trying to trace as she marries in 1903 to Christopher George POOLE.

BUT I cannot find them any earlier/later either.

I do have Christopher in 1901 with his parents/siblings and all of the census returns back to 1841 for his family.

There's a Carry Cane living in Birmingham in 1901 but she's daughter of John and Emma. That's all I've found so far.

Cannot find Caroline at the moment but wonder if this is the parents and three children in 1901
        RG13; Piece: 2831; Folio: 129; Page: 28.
        - Ancestry.co.uk

Children: George, Lavinia (Viney on 1891) and Florence (Flossy on 1891)
Name for father doesn´t match, nor places of birth for parents, but the three children names match, albeit age is out a bit for George.

What does match is the address - seems to be the same as the 1891.

        Certainly worth looking at.

Forgot to say - mother is transcribed as Pauline in 1891.
If you check the image I think it is Caroline.

Yes Guy I have seen that, thank you! this is what is puzzling me.. why a different name to the one she has been using?? and IF she is one and the same her husband, Christopher G, certainly called her Caroline
