to be shot at dawn would they have recieved meddles and widow a war pension.is it possable wrong person can be named in a book.:(i have war records of one persons saying his widow recieved meddles and a pension.and where he was burried with other soldiers.
i thought if someone was shot at dawn he would be put in an unmarked grave?brenda xxx

I think they all had a proper grave Brenda, but don't know about the medals. I would have thought they would have taken them away from them.

I've just been reading an article in the Daily Mirror from 2006 about this and it says that those shot at dawn didn't receive medals and their families never received a pension.
