  • Hannah Oakey / Pearson

I have the will of Thomas Oakey who died in Packington, Leicestershire in 1854.

He mentions "My daughter Hannah, the wife of Joseph Pearson"

There is a submitted entry on the IGI for their marriage in Measham on the 5th November 1823.

Hannah was from Thomas' first marriage so I don't know who her mother was. He married my rellie, Ann Timms in 1805.

Extracted on the IGI shows Hannah Oakey, daughter of Thomas and Ann Oakey christened in Blackfordby, Leicestershire on the 9th August 1802.

However, I cannot seem to find anything about Hannah after her wedding.

The will was written in 1848, so she must have died after then.

Hope someone can see something I can't.

    Thanks,

    Tom

Boothorpe seems to be a couple of miles from Blackfordby.

Have you found her husband and have you tried spelling variants like Pierson or Peerson?

Thanks Elaine, Boothorpe is actually part of Blackfordby, so that looks like it might be her.

Am off to have a look
