  • Size of Registration Districts

Does anyone know roughly what the population of a Registration District would have been in 1919?

I am trying to work out how likely something is to have been, whilst I am impatiently waiting for a certificate :D

    Thanks

Seems to be about 80,000 in 1901. That district wasn't created until 1898, so I can't compare the size earlier.

However, between 1881 and 1901 the popluation of Cheshire went from 653,000 to 783,000 which is a 20% increase roughly., I suppose the pop might have increased by another 20% in the following 20 years, but I think it might have been a greater increase than that, despite WW1.
