  • 1861 Census

Is there some kind person who could do a look up of the 1861 census for me please?

Isaiah Clayton who would be about 17 and probably working as some sort of miner - birth registered at Wellington, Salop, in December Qtr 1844. In the 1881 Census, when he was living at Rushall, Staffs, he gives his place of birth as Coal Pit Bank, Salop.

I've looked on Family Search for his birth but to no avail - I am hoping to discover the names of his parents.

If this is too scanty to bother with - please don't worry - it's just a long shot!

    Many thanks.
    Chris

I think in 1851 they have been transcribed as Cleaton, with Isaiah being transcribed as Josiah - image is not very clear.

          HO107; Piece: 2036; Folio: 213; Page: 8

Robert Cleaton c 1815 Kelly, Shropshire
Mary Cleaton c 1820 Kelly, Shropshire
Mary Cleaton c 1841 Kelly, Shropshire
Josiah Cleaton c 1845 Kelly, Shropshire
Sarah A Cleaton c 1850 Lawley Bank, Shropshire

          living in Kingswinford, Staffordshire
