certificates for Deaths at Sea

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a Death Cert. for a death at sea? The only information I have is taken from a memorial stone for the deceased brother.

All the info I have is 'George Taylor died at Sea 21/7/1878'

Thanks in anticipation for any replies. Have to go out dog walking soon, so will look in again later.

FamilyRelatives GRO Marine deaths for 1878 has this one:

TAYLOR George age 48 "Orontes" Page 289.

If you want to order the certificate from the GRO you quote Marine Deaths 1878 Page 289 and the person's name.

I assume they are £7 the normal price....hope so anyway.
