  • Embarkation for Egypt 1801

Val & George and I, are trying to identify the parents of William Samain/Semain born in Gosport in 1800 (place & date from subsequent census data). We have been spectacularly unsuccessful in tracing his birth/baptism, but there is a high probability that his father was the James who served in the 2nd Foot Guards (Coldstream) from 17.10.1799 to 25.12.1806. Thank you, Henry
