ALL SORTED!
What ever gremlins were lurking in my computer have packed up & gone. After much tweaking & twiddling FTM installed on the 9th attempt!!!
Please disregard my post.
Please, please could any computer whizz put me on the right track.
Bought myself FTM 2009 Aust/NZ version and have been trying to install it but with no success.
The Installation Wizaed start but then gives me an error code and the message that the M'soft.Net Framework 2.0 is currently suspended and that I need to undo changes made in order to continue with the installation. When I click yes the installation aborts, when I click No the computer freezes!!
Rang Ancestry.com.au but no technical help because my call actually went through to America & the lady I spoke to told me it was middle of the night there.
I've tried a system restore, rebooted computer several times & checked M'soft site re this .Net framework. I'm totally out of my depth with this one. Any ideas most welcome!
