Has anyone ever applied for the death certificate of someone killed in battle?
I've just found the death registration details on Find My Past for my great uncle who was killed in WW1 in France. I already know when and where he died but I would quite like to have a copy of his death certificate.Where would I get it from? The volume and page numbers aren't in the usual format and,of course, there is no registration district nor a quarter, only a year. Do I apply to GRO in the normal way?
