    Are there any?

    Just curious if there is anything that might help trace two Harrison family members.

    John died between 1841 and 1851 (born c1791), possibly Heacham area. Rebecca died 1851-1861 (born c1785) thought to be Great Dunham, Billingford or possibly Elmham.

      Nothing

      Billingford is 1813 - 1860

      Great Dunham is 1813 -1837

      Heacham and Elmham aren't listed

        Thanks Margaret.

        Oh how i hate Norfolk, virtually every one of my lines has a connection in some way or other and unless they passed through (ie not born or died there) then they are a pain in the wotsits, and why do so many of them pop their clogs either between the '41 and '51 or suddenly gain/lose so many years if they reach the '61?

          Have you tried FreeReg?

          I found that Norfolk was quite well covered.

            I did have a look a while ago but just went back after your "prod" :D

            Rebecca Harrison (nee Thorbon) according to the two census returns available was born in county, the '51 says Lynn as pob. Her yob varies between 1783 and 1789.

            Wonder if this is her?

                  Glen

                  I found 3 generations of my Rust family in East Harling in Norfolk on that site. Just keep checking baptisms, marriages and burials.

                  I always thought it was rubbish, but when you find something it's different.

                    Last known of in the '51 running a pub in Great Dunham, Norfolk. Three or four possible bmd refs between the 51 and 61, trouble is any of them could be her and there is nothing in the probate records.

                    I'll have to hunt again tomorrow, Mrs G wants the pooter.

                      Norfolk folk are a law unto themselves. I've got a few mysteries with my lot.

                        According to White's directory Rebecca is still the licensee of the Flower Pot in 1854.

                            Thanks Moggie

                            I have got that somewhere but it's been so long since i last looked for Rebecca i had forgotten the dates.

                            There are quite a few possible bmd entries, most in the same district, of course she is being elusive, dies before the age appears in the index and just after the 1858 probate dates :(

                            Just adding this so i have it somewhere for now;

                            Death for William Thorbon;
