  • Long lost brother poem help please

    Hi

Im trying to find a poem or saying for my nans family tree book, and have a page dedicated to her brother that died in February and who we were contacted about. They never knew each other and my nan is devasted by that. On the page with his photos i would like to put either a saying or a poem about either the fact that they never knew each other or something to do with a brother, but ones i have found a specific to them growing up together or him going off to war. Does anyone have any good touching suggestions?

    many thanks
    Robyne

      Missing You

Do you look down at me in the night
Do you see my candle burning so big and so bright
The candle I burn that reminds me of you
The candle I hope that you would burn too.
Not a day goes by where I don't think of you
hoping that you'd come back so the days won't be blue.
I feel no one understands me, apart from you.
I go to your grave expecting a response
to the pointless questions I can't get across.
Though sometimes In my mind I forget that you're dead
but I'll make sure you keep living in my head
I love you so much it makes me so sad
that I can't hear you say it back - the one thing that would make me glad.
You probably think I'm silly when we didn't even know each other
But to me you'll always be my brother.

      this is lovely Len

There is something deep inside my heart
        That’s wishing you were here
To be beside me in life
In my life to be a part
My thoughts go back to the lives we had
When your face I never saw
Where you lived your life and I lived mine
I never knew the brother that you were
        Avatar is my Gt Grandfather
