  • Ancestry death question

I've found a death for Clifford Robert Hope April 1986 Warrington, on Ancestry. It's on the "Historical Records" part. Unfortunately my sub doesn't have the death index past 1983. Not sure if any do?????

However, the death has Clifford's date of birth as 29th Nov 1914. I can't find that on Ancestry. I trawled a couple of years.

The fellow I'm looking for has that name and was born about that time in Manchester.

Could I ask if anyone has access to the 1986 deaths could they double check that for me, please. I don't know if it's worth buying to prove something or not.

There is a Clifford Hope b OND 1912, registered in Wigan. That's the closest one to the information you gave.

There is a birth registration for Robert C Hope 1914 4th quarter - Salford 8d, 79 (MMN Jones)

I wonder if the first names have been transposed over the years?

Libby, I thought you had the same Ancestry sub as me (UK Heritage)?

If so, you can access the 1984-2005 BMDs here:

That's what I thought Mary.....Now why have they hidden that from me? It used to be on the front page. I'm getting too old for change...lol.

              Thank you everyone.

I'll put the rest of this back on my thread on the Adoption page.
