    Waterloo Medal Roll 1815

"The historically important Waterloo medal was the first military award issued to all ranks who fought in a particular action — the great battle of Waterloo as well as the preceding actions at Ligny and Quatre Bras, which finally broke Napoleon’s power on 16-18th June 1815. As such it was the British Army’s first campaign medal, won by some 39,000 Waterloo veterans, and provides a roll call of Wellington’s army."

Rather disappointing because I don't know how you would identify a man as being yours as there are no details. Unless it is a unique name it would be very difficult.
