  • Northern Ireland Wills

Would I be able to get a copy of a will for someone that died in 1997? He lived in Northern Ireland, but died in England. He was cremated in N.I. I'm assuming probate was granted in N.I.

I do have a name, address & date of death.

    Hi Sue,

I don't know about 1997, but the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) has custody of all probated wills from 1900 to 1994. See: WILLS
That information appears to date from 2004, so perhaps they also have more recent wills now?

You could try contacting PRONI to find out: Contact us | Public Record Office of Northern Ireland

Thanks Sarah, I'll try to contact PRONI and see what they say.
