  • 1841 Look up please

Im looking for a Charles Ollier born around 1788 in Bath,Somerset,he was married to a Maria Gattie in 1814,as far as i know there children were Clare E Born in 1818 in Paddington,London, William born 1824,Paddington.and Edmund[sometimes Edward] born 1827 in Paddington.
In 1851 onwards the family were in Kensington London.
    Maria was born 1787,Marylebone.
Charles was quiete a well known Author and Journalist as were his sons.
Also cant find Clara E Ollier the daughter in 1841 ,nor in 1851 she was a Proffesor of Music,so quiet well to do.
Charles died in 1859.any help would be brilliant and will be rewarded with a big thankyou,Dave.

The bad news is that I have had a look and cannot see anything - the very bad news is that there are parts of Paddington and Kensington which are missing from the 1841 census.
Haven't got any good news I am afraid! Can't see anything that fits. :o

      Ollier

Thanks Elaine for trying,my good news is that ive found them in 1823 in a London Directory in Oxford St,London,Booksellers.
Apparently,as ive just this afternoon found out, that Charles Ollier was a very famous Author, who knew Shelley and Charles Dickens, and have now got a letter from Charles Dickens to Charles Ollier,so thanks for trying,Dave

Not sure if it's your tree, or whether you are aware of it, but there are two trees for this family on Ancestry - a private tree and a World ancestry tree.

If you have membership of a library service with access to the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, he has an entry therein.

            Googling throws this up, too:
            The Ancestor'

Definitely worth googling, if you haven't already!

Have you tried serching for similar names. Had a quick look for Hollier & Oliver.
Couldn't find anything but it's worth a try.
