Help with LDS viewer please

Can anyone help me! Im a novice at this but I have just upgraded to Vista windows and can no longer get into my 1881 census,. It is a 3.0 viewer, the viewer appears but will not load any other discs the National Index or the Regional CD ROMS.
What is "run time error 339" ?

Not sure if this will help, but worth trying:

• Right click on the Resource file viewer icon on the desktop and select Properties.
• Click the Compatibility tab.
• Put a tick in the box to run in compatibility mode and select Windows XP
• Put a tick in the box "Run this program as an administrator"
• Click OK

The 3.0 viewer is quite an old one. You can purchase a newer version from the LDS in Garratts Lane, Birmingham.
