  • finding the parents?

I am researching my Warrilow's now, and most of them are from or in Staffordshire, but my bunch come from Berkshire - well they do for now.

Anyway on the 1851 census Ihave found 3 orphans. All born between 1843 and 1848.
I have checked the IGI and FreeReg, can anyone think of a way of finding their parents without ordering the certs?

    Thanks

EDIT - If I don't reply, I'm not being rude, computer is playing up

Names of orphans? Assuming they were born in parish you found them 1851, then you could see if there's an online parish clerk for them.

My bet is it's this couple:

      Marriages Sep 1840
      BARWELL Teresa Reading 6 315
      WARRILOW James Reading 6 315

      Deaths Dec 1849
      Warrilow James Wokingham 6 224

      Deaths Mar 1851
      WARRILOW Teresa Wokingham 6 222

      No proof though!

I think Merry is right. In 1841 James is a Bailiff.

1851 the children are living with an housekeeper and not in an orphanage.

In 1861 Vincent and Frederick are in a Roman Catholic school.
